Are you considering a career in the humanitarian sector? If so, join us for a fantastic day of presentations, discussion and advice from current leaders in the field of humanitarianism. This will be a great opportunity to meet the experts, network and find out what possibilities are open to you. In previous years, we have had speakers from MSF, MAG, Save the Children and many more.

On the day, please register your attendance via the Renold Building Altrincham street entrance.
Please note, you can pop in and out of the sessions throughout the day, with entrance on a first come first served basis, with entry subject to capacity.
Programme Schedule:
10:00-11:30am - Plenary session: Humanitarianism, development, and climate change (room E7).
In this future-oriented panel discussion with academics and practitioners, we debate how our changing environment affects areas of disaster preparedness, development, migration and humanitarianism.

Medics session - Emergency medicine (room E1).
This session is specifically tailored towards those students interested in global health. It discusses the experience of working for medical-humanitarian INGOs, NGOs, and other forms of medical volunteering. It particularly pays attention to their work experiences and future professional challenges.

This panel of practitioners discusses the experience of working in humanitarianism and disaster response. It pays special attention to challenges in building a career in their respective organisations and these sectors at large.

This panel consists of several young medical-humanitarian leaders, who have already made their mark in the world. Panel members discuss their work experiences in the medical-humanitarian sector, and how they have dealt with challenges in their career.

Guests, panel speakers, HCRI staff, students and alumni are cordially invited to attend the networking evening.
The evening will include, 'Your wall (can) not divide us' photo exhibition by the International Consortium for Conflict Graffiti, exclusively featuring photos of street art pieces from a range of conflict-affected societies.
