An Engagement session whereby you will receive:

• An introduction to the myCOPD App

• An overview of the evidence base

• Direction on how to register patients

• Direction on how to use the App to support and enhance your service delivery

myCOPD is an evidence based, NHS approved, digital platform for patients with COPD that enables users to take control of their symptoms 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

myCOPD provides the opportunity to provide continuity and consistency of care outside of the normal clinical contact, enhancing patient care and helping to address the significant burden that these diseases currently place on our healthcare services.

The mymhealth platform offers patients the ability to:

• Improve their knowledge of their condition and how to manage it

• Monitor their symptoms

• Complete online rehabilitation and educational Programmes

• View pollution and weather forecasting

• Improve their inhaler technique

Research has already shown that:

• The inhaler videos in the apps can improve inhaler technique by 95%

• The rehabilitation tiles can deliver parity of care with face to face delivery

• Use of the apps can lead to reduced exacerbations, reduced readmissions and improvements in symptom scores.
