The Head for Work project aims to increase access to accredited training and employment opportunities for long-term unemployed Harrow residents experiencing mental health problems. Participants are given training and subsequently employed to run workshops that focus on tackling mental health stigma in the workplace.
The Head for Work project was hugely successful over the duration of its last Big Lottery Fund grant, achieving all its targets by accrediting over 40 people with the University of Middlesex as Mental Health Awareness Trainers and increasing mental health awareness for 1,000 employees across public, charity and private sectors.
