Head & Neck Cancer Conference 2017 - Day Two
Wed 8 November 2017, 09:00 – 17:00 GMT
Quality of Life in Survivorship - Day Two: For Patients & Carers
After a very successful conference in Liverpool last year The Head & Neck Cancer Conference moves to Blackpool.
This two-day conference will bring together Health Professionals on day one and Patients & Carers on day two.
The conference poses challenging questions around Support, Knowledge and the challenges of ‘Living with & Beyond Head & Neck Cancer’.
Inspired by leading national and international thinkers, the conference will explore how greater passion and understanding can be inspired in the system so that more patients and carers and the people who work with them, make inspired choices, continue learning and aspire to a world class performance.
Head & Neck Survivor from Australia, Health Professional from the USA and leading patients/survivors & health professionals from the UK will all help to make this year’s conference memorable.
Head & Neck Cancer 5year survivorship is currently at 79% of all diagnosed patients, this is fantastic news, but more and more patients and their loved ones are asking lots of questions about living with and beyond cancer. .
Inspired by science and driven by patients our Health Professionals will look to continue this trend.
World Cancer Patient Ambassador Chris Curtis said "We must not get complacent with the great work being carried out in the UK and always drive to increase the 5year survivorship rate by learning from other Countries and collaborate as patients with other survivors, carers, health professionals, drug companies and stakeholders to share our ideas"
With more patients surviving 5years, this year the conference offers an invaluable opportunity to discuss the issues of retaining ‘Quality of Life plus Living with & Beyond Head & Neck Cancer’ and how the latest services, treatments, technology and drugs can transform Head & Neck Cancer 5year Survivors Quality of Life.
