Event description

Description

Do you sometimes feel the challenge of raising a child with dyslexia?

Our dyslexic children are full of brilliant potential and have an amazing way of looking at things.
Their challenge is holding onto who they are and the unique gift they bring to the world in an education system that makes it hard for them to succeed.
That becomes our challenge too: To keep encouraging them, finding new ways to help them learn and always believing in them.
Breakthroughs are amazing and worth celebrating but day to day life can feel hard and isolating. Having a space to stop and reflect, to be encouraged and to invest in ourselves can be just what we need to keep going.

This workshop is a place to take time out from the demands of every day life. It’s a relaxed space where we can chat and encourage each other and take time to explore the power of dreaming for a positive future for our children. We'll look at how we can start to bring those dreams into reality and what our next achievable steps might be.

Brene Brown says, ‘we move things from our heads to our heart through out hands’ and taking time to needlefelt together gives us space to do that and to process everything we’ve talked about on the day.

I’ll teach you the needlefelting skills you’ll need and we’ll create needlefelted pictures which I’ll frame for you to take home. This creativity gives us space to process everything we’ve heard and to leave feeling encouraged and empowered for our next steps

There'll also be great cake!!
