Headache Matters: Managing Impact and Improving Referrals in Primary Care
Overview
This is event is for staff working in Primary Care in Nottingham & Nottinghamshire
This is Part 2 of our headache series. You don't need to have attended the first part to attend.
Aim of this Event
Migraines and chronic headaches are common presentations in primary care, yet they remain under-recognised and often misunderstood. Their impact on patients’ quality of life, productivity, and mental health is profound — as is the burden on healthcare systems. This two-part series, delivered by GPs with a Special Interest in Headache Management and other staff in the field, will equip primary care clinicians with the knowledge and practical strategies to improve headache care, optimise referrals, and enhance patient outcomes.
This session explores the complex nature of migraine and its comorbidities, focusing on the patient experience and the journey between primary and secondary care. Participants will gain insight into referral pathways, the evolving role of secondary services, and how to maximise the value of the migraine consultation through clear communication and collaboration.
Target Audience
Registered HealthCare Professionals, Consulting health Professionals - GPs, ACPs, Pharmacists and Physician Associates.
