Design and create your own characterful headdresses inspired by stories, films and myths using environmentally friendly materials.

Tuesday afternoons, 2:00pm - 4:00pm (£160 for 10 Week Course)

Programme

Bring your favourite character to life in this headdress making course, look for inspiration in stories, mythology, film or fairy-tale or make up your very own characterful headdress.

Working from a skater helmet base, think big! think bold! make a statement!!

Be environmentally friendly and collect bubble wrap/ single use plastic to form the filling for your headdress and cover with colourful or plain tissue paper, it’s up to you!

Week by week we will create designs, work with the materials and techniques from making clay moulds to delicate tissue flower petals, feather or leaves.

The end result will be beautifully detailed and carefully designed headdress and you will take away skills in design, construction and most importantly have fun!

Cost

Materials

You will need to purchase these materials ahead of starting the course

  • Tissue paper
  • Air drying clay x 1 pack (Cass Art version)
  • Masking tape x 1 roll
  • Collect Bubble wrap/single use plastic
  • Cheap skater helmet (These can be bought from Amazon / Halfords etc for under £10) or at PedalPro
  • Tissue paper x 50 sheets (Cass Art version)

Notes:

There are a maximum of 11 places available on each session, so early booking is essential.

We have introduced a range of safety measures to keep everyone as safe and comfortable as possible. We ask everyone to please respect social distancing guidelines, all staff will be keeping their distance too.

Regular cleaning and santizing measures will be in place.

Cancellations / Refunds

Once you have made your course booking you are committed to it. This is because our courses have very small student numbers, and often sell-out and are unavailable to others. Therefore any cancellations may result in a place not being filled, or a course not being able to run.

Cancellations are permitted up to 30 days before the start of a course, and a full refund will be issued. Refunds will not be made for cancellations less than 30 days before the start of a course. If you are unable to attend due to illness, personal or professional commitments you do not have the right to a refund.

If you wish to cancel your place on a course that has not yet started and you have a friend or colleague who can take your place we can accommodate this substitution.

dot-art was founded in Liverpool in 2006 and specialises in affordable, high quality, locally sourced art. We work with over 100 artists to provide an unrivalled choice of original art and limited edition prints for home or business, as well as offering a range of complementary services including; commissions, art rental, art consultancy, exhibition planning and implementation, bespoke framing, art valuation and restoration and artist sourcing.
