Event description

Paging all Junior Doctors! The Glades has a special operation for you to complete this summer, taking you on a journey through the human body.

If you’ve ever wondered what happens inside your lungs when you sneeze or why you laugh when you’re tickled, you’ve come to the right place. Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes will answer all those burning questions you have about the weird world of the human body. For example, did you know that the average person produces enough saliva in their lifetime to fill two swimming pools? Or that the small intestine is 23 feet long?

Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes is brought to you by the team that produced 2017's sell-out event "Kids on the Moon". This free 40-minute adventure begins with some dressing up - you've got to look the part to be a Junior Doctor! With white coats at the ready, you'll be led on a journey through the human body to find out all about what makes us tick. At the end, you'll be rewarded with a certificate and photo opportunity, plus the option to continue the fun with a treasure hunt around the centre.

There's so much to discover this summer, so book your FREE ticket now! First, choose your date, then click the green Register button. You can then choose your time slot. Tours are available Monday-Friday at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 14:30 and 15:30 from 25th July - 22nd August.

Please note, all sessions on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 22nd August will be accompanied by a qualified BSL interpreter. If you would like to book one of these sessions, simply select the date and register as usual.
