Actions and Detail Panel
Health and Social Care Summit
Wed 26 April 2017, 09:00 – 12:00 BST
The issues facing the Health and Social Care system have never been more acute. Reductions in Local Government budgets and unprecedented demand pressures in the NHS have created some of the most challenging circumstances witnessed by professionals across the healthcare economy.
Join leading professionals from the health and social care sector to develop productive relationships and generate practical actions which can address the recruitment and skills challenges we face.
The pressures we face are being compounded by skills shortages and recruitment difficulties across the entire occupational map. Employers and healthcare providers of all sizes are increasingly unable to recruit sufficient numbers of staff and with the right skills.
Whilst this is a national problem we believe we can address some of the underlying challenges locally. This will need local providers of education, skills and training to work more closely with health and social care providers on designing and delivering pathways into employment.
A detailed agenda will be sent nearer the date.
