The Health Inequality Laboratory is hosted by Bureau Local's health inequality reporting team, part of the Bureau of Investigative Journalism (TBIJ).

The idea is to create a space for broad and cross-cutting discussion on health inequality and how it can be scrutinised and reported to drive positive change. We want to connect people across the UK who want to learn more and do more to tackle inequity where they live

We welcome journalists, health workers and experts, academics, campaigners, members of the public and anyone who cares about good health for all.

This will be a monthly meet-up, and you're welcome to join as many or as few as you like! Each month will have a theme and feature short 'lightning' talks from up to three different speakers before we move to an informal group discussion.

This is the third meeting of the Laboratory. The focus will be on the Health and Care Bill and how reforms might impact on health services and inequality locally. This is your chance to 'ask the experts' and learn about what the Bill means for local health services: how they're accessed, funded and managed.
