Event description

Description

Two day Health Innovation Workshop: Day 1 (12th Sept), Day 2 (26th Sept)

The development of innovative product and service ideas starts and ends with understanding the users’ needs. In a complex health market, this has never been of greater importance.

Using a methodology called 'Design Thinking' you will learn how to put yourself into the shoes of the person whose problem you are trying to solve with your product or service. You will use creative tools that will help you to empathise and challenge your assumptions to really understand user needs before you go on to develop innovative solutions. The Design Thinking process has been tried and tested in a number of sectors and provides a structured approach to drive and implement innovation. You will leave with a toolkit enabling you to do things differently in your organisation with immediate impact.

Over two days, we bring together leaders of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) across different sectors, health providers, charities, and Community Interest Companies. As well as learning how to use the Design Thinking process for your own organisation, you will put it into practice as a group, working collaboratively to address local health challenges.

Workshop benefits:

  • Be inspired, challenged, and motivated to innovate
  • Identify opportunities for new products and services ideal for the health sector
  • Learn to apply the structured process of design thinking to problem solving
  • Learn to use new tools that will lead to improved business performance
