Insights into health and diversity in relation to one of the world’s largest annual gatherings, the Hajj piligrimage.

Attendees will:

  • Learn why and how Muslims from diverse backgrounds perform hajj
  • Understand the role of public sector organisations in assisting pilgrims to perform hajj in relation to safety, health and travel advice
  • Have opportunity to network with other colleagues across different organisations
  • Meet and engage with diversity champions across government
  • Be able to ask questions relating to Hajj or Islam

Speakers include:

  • Dr. Tina Enderick, Deputy Director, Global Health, PHE
  • Dr Shuja Shafi, Consultant Microbiologist and representative of the Muslim Council of Britain
