A lunchtime Q&A webinar for health and social care staff in London on COVID and flu vaccinations.
About this event
This session is the latest in a series of lunchtime webinars open to all health and social care staff in London aiming to give staff accurate information about COVID-19 and flu vaccinations and to answer any questions or concerns that they may have.
Like the December webinar, this session will begin with a short presentation delivered by Catherine Heffernan D.Phil, FFPH. Catherine is the Principal Public Health Advisor for Commissioning Immunisations and Vaccination Services and Hon. Associate Professor for Public Health (LSHTM). Catherine will talk about the importance of having a flu vaccination this winter, how it works, how we know the vaccine is safe and why it is the best defence we have against flu this year.
Dr Tehseen Khan who is supporting the Vaccine Programme in London will deliver a short presentation about the importance of having a COVID booster, how it works, and how we know the booster is safe and is the best way to top up our protection against new COVID variations this winter.
The presentations will be followed by a question and answer session about all things vaccination related.
The webinar is being coordinated by colleagues in the NHSE&I (London region) Covid vaccination programme.
The webinar will take place on Thursday 21 January from 1-2 pm on MS Teams Live. Joining instructions will be shared with attendees ahead of the event.
