How do fitness trackers and health apps shape women’s daily lives and what do they miss?

Join us for a free 2-hour creative workshop, part of the Festival of Social Science, exploring how wearables and health apps - like Fitbit, Apple Watch, Oura Ring, Strava, and the Health App - shape women’s lives.

Who can attend?
Women aged 18–35 who have used these technologies (or are interested in trying them).

What to expect:
Too often, technology overlooks women’s experiences - from hormonal cycles and reproductive health to unpaid care work. In this workshop, you’ll:

  • Reflect on your own experiences with health technology
  • Use creative writing to explore fictional scenarios and imagine more inclusive futures
  • Take part in supportive group discussion (recorded for research purposes)

✨ No writing experience is required, and you only share your writing if you feel comfortable ✨

This is a space to connect with other women (18–35), develop your storytelling skills, and add your voice to the conversation about the future of health technology.

Please contact the organiser with any accessibility needs. Spaces are limited - reserve your place today!
