Healthcare Histories of the East End

Join us to explore the Tower Hamlets Local History Library & Archive collections relating to hospitals and healthcare then and now. This illustrated talk will look at the births, the lives and the deaths of East Enders, through the history of east end hospital. Some of these hospitals continue their work today and some are long forgotten, from the Magdalen Hospital of Whitechapel, the Cholera hospital of Wapping to the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, one of the best known medical facilities in London, with a history stretching back centuries
