Join UK Trade & Investment and the BISEN group for this event to learn more about the opportunities for the health care sector in Nigeria. Nigeria is Africa’s second largest economy and it’s growing middle class makes up 23% of the population.
Over the last 5 years, Nigeria’s GDP growth averaged 6.8% and the market holds similar legal and business practices to the UK. Political developments in Nigeria following last year’s elections have opened new initiatives in which the government wishes to demonstrate increasing commitment to improving the lives of the population. There is demand for different infrastructures (hospitals and clinics), movers (wheeled, hovercraft and helicopter), medicines, medical equipment, training and sustainment.
BISEN, with a consortium of British companies, is investigating these new healthcare markets in which the leads have already had some success and they are looking for new supply chain members that can bring innovation, growth in employment, technology transfer and growth in revenues. This morning session will introduce the leads and the key points for some of the emerging opportunities.
Who is this event for? We invite local businesses in the health care sector who are currently exporting to this event. Regrettably, we are unable to accept intermediaries or service providers.
