HealthChat with Chris Hopson
Thu 25 May 2017, 17:30 – 20:30 BST
Chris Hopson is Chief Executive of NHS Providers, the association of NHS Trusts, and is regularly to be heard and seen on our radios and TV screens putting forward comment and analysis on the latest NHS news and policy headlines. Previous to his current role he was a senior manager at HMRC (somebody has to be!), and has worked for ITV and the Foyer Foundation. He has also been a government special advisor and was even CEO of the Social Democratic Party.
NHS Providers is in an interesting position. As STPs develop momentum and the imperative for organisational change in health and social care takes shape, what is its role? Is it to preserve NHS Trusts or something else? Is it an acolyte of NHSE or an independent voice? How would he describe its relationship with NHS Improvement? Given the forthcoming election, what does he want to hear at the hustings in respect of health?
Roy Lilley will be in the chair for what will be another very popular event, so please be sure to book early.
