About this event

Join us for our next HealthTec Huddle, hear about the inspiring work taking place by organisations across the HealthTec Cluster, share ideas and check-in with peers from across the North West health technology sector. Now is more important than ever to see how the community around can support one another. The online version of the Huddle will provide the usual opportunity to pitch an update from your organisation, and hear what others are doing.

Alongside our usual 45s rapid pitches we will hear from several 3 minute spotlight talks including from:

  • Paul Tselentis, Chief Executive Officer, 24 HayMarket "Growth Equity and Venture Capital Investment"
  • Dr Neill Liptrott, Lecturer (University of Liverpool), Nanotherapeutics Hub Coordinator, Biocompatibility Lead - Centre for Long-Acting Therapeutics (CELT) "The Liverpool Nanotherapeutics Hub - Supporting the Development of Advanced Medicines and Materials"
  • David Powell, Senior Recruitment Manager, Hyper Recruitment Solutions Ltd "The Importance of Nurturing talent and the Opportunity to Support Knowledge Exchange"
  • Dr Liz Mear, MD Leeds Academic Health Partnership "The Leeds Offer to HealthTec Businesses"
  • Jen Hardy, Business Development Manager, Perfectus Biomed "Accelerating Product Development and Regulatory Route-to-Market During a Pandemic, Through Independent Support Testing"

So come along to share ideas and check-in with peers from across the health technology sector. There will also be opportunity for a discussion through an informal Q&A session.

“Connecting with the NW HealthTec Cluster is possibly the most important thing SMEs can do in their commercialisation journey. The true benefit of representation, platform, introductions and advice collectively, and from stakeholders such as STFC, Innovation Agency, Health Innovation Exchange and the Knowledge Transfer Network has been incalculable.”

Phil Blything, CEO, Glow New Media

The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), part of UK Research and Innovation, is a world-leading multidisciplinary science organisation. Working collaboratively with academia to create an environment for UK scientific research to flourish, STFC is a national resource available to support UK businesses, from spin-outs to corporates.

Providing unique access to large-scale science facilities, equipment, and expertise both in the UK and internationally, we work collaboratively with businesses to reduce the risk surrounding innovation and enable new applications of technology in exciting and disruptive ways. By co-locating businesses alongside our facilities and expertise at 3 UK locations – Daresbury, Harwell, and Edinburgh – and catalysing this with industry cluster networks, we bring together the people who can innovate and change the world for the better.
