About this event

This is part of a series of regular bi-monthly catch-up for members of the Campaigns and Communications Ambassadors’ Network (CAN).

The CAN was created to link up staff or volunteers at all levels of seniority who generally lead on campaigns and communications for their local Healthwatch and want to help deliver campaigning activity and messaging in a more coordinated and impactful way

We will usually feature an example of excellent campaigning activity from a guest local Healthwatch and update you on current and forthcoming Healthwatch-wide campaigns.

We are the independent national champion for people who use health and social care services.

We’re here to ensure that those running services, and the government, put people at the heart of care. We support local Healthwatch to find out what people want and to advocate for services that meet local communities’ needs. Healthwatch around the country act as our eyes and ears on the ground, letting us know how people’s care could be improved.

Our sole purpose is to help make care better for people. We have the power to make sure their voices are heard.
