Are you a professional who works with deaf children and young people? Do you want creative ideas to help you support their emotional health and well-being?

Workshop Overview

Our Healthy Minds programme tackles issues such as low self-esteem, isolation, stress and anxiety. It encourages the use of positive strategies for dealing with change, managing deafness, developing confidence and building social skills.

FAQs

I work with younger children/teenagers – will the training be suitable?
We believe the Healthy Minds resource is suitable for all ages and abilities. The key is in the skills of the facilitator. During the training day, the trainer will encourage the delegates to reflect on the children they support and consider (with the help of the trainer and the other delegates) how they can creatively amend some of the activities or tools to meet the needs of the children they have in mind.

Can we have the resources without attending the training?
As part of our quality assurance – the Healthy Minds resource booklet is only available for those who have attended the full day training.

Is the Healthy Minds accredited?
At the moment the training day is not accredited. All delegates who attend the full day on request will receive a certificate of attendance.
