Healthy Oceans, Healthy Minds - Nature Based Solutions - Talk and Walk
In collaboration with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful's Healthy Oceans, Healthy Minds Campaign, delivered by the Northern Ireland Marine Task Force (NIMTF) and hosted by WWT Castle Espie for an exciting event where we dive into the world of nature-based solutions! This in-person event will showcase real-life examples and success stories of how nature can provide sustainable solutions to today's challenges. The event will consist of a talk from the NIMTF Officer, Robert Walsh, supported by Ulster Wildlife's Marine Conservation Manager, Dr Nick Baker-Horne explaining how these practical solutions are meeting objectives of the UK's first Blue Carbon Action Plan, Climate Action Plan and the NI Climate Change Adaptation Programme (NICCAP) followed by a walk onto the grounds of WWT Castle Espie, delivered by Visitor Centre Manager, Paul Stewart to show how some of these super solutions are able to do what they're doing.
