Healthy Teeth, Happy Smiles! Supervised Toothbrushing: Refresher training

Daily Supervised Toothbrushing is a great way to meet the requirements set by the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.

As part of this framework, providers are required to promote the importance of oral health, to help keep children free from tooth decay, infection, and swollen gums.

T ooth decay and poor oral health can affect a child's ability to sleep, eat, socialise and play. Whilst we are seeing improvements within oral health, diseases such as tooth decay are largely preventable and are often a result of poor oral hygiene.

Supervised Toothbrushing participation helps to sustain long term oral health and reduce inequalities often seen at a local level.

To help Early Year and School settings, we are hosting two sessions on re-starting Supervised Toothbrushing to support participation within the programme.
