About this event
Hear directly from people with lived experience of transitions, and their allies, about what matters most in the move to young adult life
Hear our Voices, Respect our Choices is put together and presented by young people, parents and carers in Scotland with a passion for ensuring young people with additional support needs have a positive experience of transition to young adult life.
It's a chance for parents and professionals to hear young people, parents and carers explore:
- What "a good transition" looks and feels like
- How we can get it right for everyone - whoever they are
- How young people and their families can best prepare for the future
- How to support all young people to "live their best life"
The day is facilitated by the Divergent Influencers and ARC Scotland's Parent and Carer Network, with support from ARC Scotland. The topics are from Experiences of Young People with Additional Needs Leaving School, a consultation by the Divergent Influencers among young people across Scotland published in November 2021.
