Step into an unforgettable evening of powerful true storytelling as we explore the theme ‘Reframing Resilience’.
Join us for an inclusive event where voices share raw, real and extraordinary personal stories that will move, challenge and inspire.
Enjoy a line up of our specially curated storytellers sharing their experiences, unfiltered and in their own words. Our events celebrate the joy of hearing the voices of others, finding there’s a story in each person, and coming to connect and learn. This months event is in collaboration with with Voice ESEA, celebrating East & South East Asian Heritage month.
We’re looking forward to meeting you soon and sharing our love of true stories!
This event is raising money for VOICE ESEA.
Voice ESEA is an educational non-profit with one vision: to empower top-down, data-driven change towards societal equality for the East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) community in the UK. Their mission is to, through their data project work, history exhibition and events to provide changemakers with the resources necessary to prioritise regional community support. They also aim to provide safe spaces for open discussion within the community and beyond, helping to amplify voices and experiences.

The Library team is more than happy to chat through any questions or concerns you might have and will do their best to support your visit: 0161 236 6785 (not textphone) or admin.assistant@theportico.org.uk.
We warmly encourage you to get in touch before booking your ticket, so we can help wherever possible, and we’re truly sorry for any inconvenience or difficulties this may cause.
