Underside is a song about the value of listening and speaking from the ‘underside’. A side of life that often remains hidden and in the dark. Sometimes it’s easier to put on a mask, but true beauty, intimacy and transformation comes when suffering, difficulty and vulnerability is embraced, expressed and heard; making people, relationships and communities more whole. This destigmatization of the vital communication around our metal health is what we need in our society, now more than ever.

Come and join Samantha Lindo in an artists Q&A and discussion with mental health expert Rebecca Jackson, where they reflect on the themes of the song, lessons from their own friendship and give a quick fire psycho-education tool kit on how to both listen and speak from the underside.

Maybe you experience challenges with your mental health, maybe you are wanting to learn and grow in supporting your loved ones or maybe you are just interested in the realities and wonders of being a human. Whichever way, you are welcome and will be in good company.
