Heat Pump Ready: Developing Technology & Tools (Stream 2)
Event Information
About this event
The Heat Pump Ready Programme forms part of BEIS’s £1 billion Net Zero Innovation Portfolio (NZIP), which aims to accelerate the commercialisation of innovative clean energy technologies and processes through the 2020s and 2030s. A key solution for decarbonising homes, heat pumps will be critical for meeting the UK’s legally binding commitment to achieve net zero by 2050.
The Heat Pump Ready Programme is made up of three, separate streams:
• Workstream 1: Solutions for High-Density Heat Pump Deployment.
• Workstream 2: Developing Tools and Technology.
• Workstream 3: Trial Support and Learning.
Sign up to this online event to hear about Workstream Stream 2: Developing Tools and Technology which is expected to support 20-25 innovation projects, focused on driving down the lifetime costs of domestic heat pump deployment, improving the domestic consumer experience and acceptability of heat pumps through technology and process innovation and improving the home suitability and interoperability of heat pumps with other smart technology and within the wider electricity system. There will be a total budget of up to £25m of funding available for this stream.
We welcome stakeholders from across the heat landscape including local authorities, manufacturers and installers, lenders and investors, academics and consultants, energy suppliers and licenced energy network operators and those supporting consumers to transition to heat pumps. At this event you will hear from the Heat Pump Ready Programme Leads, learn about the commercial process, and have an opportunity to give your views on the programme.
Please note a recording of this event will not be available post-event. Copies of the slides and Q&A responses will be made available shortly after the event.
