I want to attend both days can I do that?

Accepted Answer

If you have a vehicle which falls into a Class on the Saturday and the Sunday then yes, if not you can only attend on the day where your vehicle complies with the Class description, please see Hebden Bridge Vintage Weekend website (link above) for more details.  Please also see question below.

Question 2

Can I book more than one vehicle here?

Accepted Answer

No, please book only one vehicle on this form, if you have more than one vehicle you can bring it but please fill in a separate entry for each vehicle by completing the transaction for the first vehicle, exiting the website and then returning to book the second vehicle.

Question 3

Can I bring a passenger in as part of my entry?

Accepted Answer

The booked vehicle includes admission for the driver and one passenger, other people in the vehicle will have to pay admission but for ease you can do so here or pay on the gate.  Please be careful when booking a vehicle you do not just book a passenger.

Question 4

Why can't I send a cheque like I did in the past?

Accepted Answer

The Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge has had to move with the times, we no longer have the members available to handle what amounts to nearly 800 vehicle applications which is why we have turned to the internet so we can continue to run the event.

Question 5

The costs of entry have gone up, why is this?

Accepted Answer

The entry costs were held at £5 for about 30 years, with inflation over this period this is no longer sufficient to cover our overheads such as mobile toilets, trophies, first aid, insurance, licenses, security, websites, printing and advertising.

Question 6

Why do I have to pay an Eventbrite fee?

Accepted Answer

We have decided to use Eventbrite this year as we had a few problems with our own booking system last year and some entries were not completed correctly.  We looked at having a new bespoke booking system written but the costs were prohibitive, Eventbrite was the compromise but there is a small cost.

Question 7

Why do you send out an entry card in July, why not just use the e-ticket?

Accepted Answer

Each vehicle has a Class and a number in that class, Eventbrite does not provide this we do it.  This is sent to you for you to display in your windscreen as you approach the park so we can wave you in smoothly without delay and without having to look closely at e-tickets.

Question 8

My vehicle is "the show", why do I have to pay to exhibit it?

Accepted Answer

This show is run for charitable purposes, the public pay to see your vehicles this is effectively what we raise for charity.  There are however, overheads for putting on the event and these are covered by your vehicle entry fees, e.g. the event runs over two days and we have to pay for security.

Question 9

Can I just turn up on the day and not bother to pre-book?

Accepted Answer

Pre-booking ends towards the end of July so if you have not pre-booked  there is the possibility of coming early on the day and coming in as a late entry, this is £10.00 (no booking fee), if you do this however you do run the risk of the park being full and being turned away.
