Hedge Laying Conservation Style

Hedge Laying Conservation Style

By Devon Rural Skills Trust

Overview

An increasingly popular style of hedgelaying with the aim to create habitat for wildlife rather than a stock-proof hedge.

Conservation style hedgelaying is becoming increasingly popular as a hedgelaying style. It is not so concerned with creating a stockproof barrier or a neat finished appearance but aims to retain as much material as possible during the laying process. This creates a dense bushy habitat for wildlife to shelter in from the outset. Join us at Stoney Orchard to find out how. This course is suitable for all skill levels, including those who have never been on a hedge laying course.

Please note toilet facilities are limited on most DRST courses.
