Event description

Description

Discover why the hedgehog is Britain's favourite mammal.

This half day course about Britain’s most loved mammal, the hedgehog, will give you the opportunity to learn all about hedgehogs around the world. You will find out what hedgehogs go through during the year and their struggles here in the UK. At the end of this course, you will also discover ways that you can help our declining hedgehogs at home.

Tutor Details - Lizzy foster

  • She has been with the trust for over 3 years. Starting as a volunteer, she became an intern and now is an education officer. She has run school trips to our nature reserves, conducted assemblies and regularly visits school grounds to provide simple wildlife gardening advice.
  • In her spare time she volunteers for a local wildlife rescue (Folly Wildlife Rescue). Here she occasionally helps with the husbandry of animals, but mainly presents hedgehog talks to both children and adults.
  • She has always had a passion for wildlife, especially sharing how we can all help them.
