Hedgelaying Workshop
Overview
Would you like to learn the rural craft of hedgelaying?
We are offering a free one-day hedgelaying workshop as part of the Oxfordshire Hedgerow Heroes project! No previous experience is required and all tools will be provided. Professional hedgelayer, Toby Swift, will be running the course.

There is a sharp turning into the property. See below a photo of the entrance to the as there is no sign. As you drive in there is parking to the left.
Please make sure you...
- Arrive promptly for a 10am start.
- Bring suitable clothes as we will be outdoors all day.
- Bring your own food and drink. Some hot drinks will be provided but please do bring extra to get you through the day!
- Work gloves will be provided but please wear decent boots – no trainers!
Please be aware that...
- If it’s forecast to be wet, i.e., more than the odd shower, we will review and cancel if necessary
- Hedgelaying is physical work
Hedgerow Heroes is a campaign funded by CPRE Home - CPRE , Campaign to Protect Rural England, which aims to expand the hedgerow network across the country and improve the condition of existing ones. In partnership, Wild Oxfordshire Wild Oxfordshire - Home and CPRE Oxfordshire CPRE Oxfordshire - Home will deliver this years hedgerow projects.
