The HEFCE Prevent Team will be hosting a series of workshops in April aimed at offering Higher Education providers some additional support on implementing the Prevent duty. The focus of each of these events will be on holistic approaches to welfare, and attendees will have the opportunity to share effective practice with other HE providers.

This event is being held in London on the 6th April from 10:00-15:00 (with lunch and refreshments provided). The day will comprise of talks given by several representatives from across the sector (including the Department for Education). Case studies from HE providers will also be presented and will illustrate some of the ways in which providers are working with students and staff to effectively implement the duty within their learning communities.

Talks are aimed at giving providers additional insight into aspects of the duty and will highlight the value of working with key partners to foster positive, effective relationships.

Attendees will have the opportunity to direct general and more institution-specific queries to the expert panel in the Q and A session which will include representatives from across the sector.
