Join us for an evening with Helen Castor in conversation with Dan Jones, to discuss the paperback release of their books The Eagle and the Hart and Henry V.

The talk will be followed by a Q&A and book signing.

Copies of all their books can be purchased on the night from our partners, Waterstones Staines.

About the Authors

Dan Jones is the New York Times bestselling author of Powers and Thrones, Crusaders, The Templars, The Plantagenets, Wars of the Roses, and Magna Carta, as well as the novel Essex Dogs.

He is the host of the podcast This is History: A Dynasty to Die For and has produced, written, and presented dozens of TV shows, including the popular Netflix series Secrets of Great British Castles.

Helen Castor is an acclaimed medieval and Tudor historian. Her books include the prize-winningBlood & Roses,She-Wolves: The Women Who Ruled England before Elizabeth, andJoan of Arc, dubbed ‘a triumph of history’. She has presented a range of radio and television programmes for the BBC and Channel 4, including documentaries based onShe-Wolves and Joan of Arc.

She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and a Fellow Commoner of Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, and was a judge for the 2022 Booker Prize.
