Inspired by WWII, join author Helen Peter for a captivating event that weaves together fascinating historical facts with engaging, interactive puzzles, all tied together with the brilliant story-telling she is known for! Get to know the extraordinary real-life heroines who inspired Anna at War, and share the inspirational stories of children who came to Britain on the Kindertransport. Plus, following Anna’s discovery of a mysterious stranger in the barn at her foster home, can YOU help piece together the clues – from maps to coded messages – to solve a fictional M15 cold case?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Helen Peters grew up on an old-fashioned farm in Sussex, surrounded by family, animals and mud. She spent most of her childhood reading stories and putting on plays in a tumbledown shed that she and her friends turned into a theatre. After university, she became an English and Drama teacher.

This event takes place in Limnerslease House at Watts Gallery but please head to the Visitor Centre to show one of our volunteers your ticket and then you will be directed to the event.

Refreshments can be purchased in the Tea Shop, which will be open from 10am to 5pm.
