Prepare for a night of rock, rockets, and spooky fun as the ‘Helloween Fire Fest’ comes to Play Close Park, Melton Mowbray, on Friday, 31st October 2025. Melton Mowbray Town Estate presents this family-friendly event, promising a thrilling evening of live music, spectacular fireworks, and Halloween-themed attractions for all ages.
Gates open at 6:00 pm for an evening headlined by Blax Abbath, a premier tribute to the legendary rock band Black Sabbath and the late Ozzy Osbourne. The live music line-up also includes a high-energy tribute to Guns n' Roses, with the whole event compered by DJ Scott Lyons, who will be keeping the party atmosphere going throughout the night.
The festival will feature two professional firework displays. At 6:45 pm, there will be a 10-minute sensory-friendly display with reduced noise, designed to be enjoyed by all. The evening will culminate at 8:30 pm with a stunning 15-minute main firework display, lighting up the Melton sky. Alongside the bands there will also be a fire breathers performance.
Younger ghouls and ghosts can enjoy a host of activities, including free pumpkin carving workshops and a horror fancy dress competition. A spooky ghost train, funfair rides, and face painting will also be available to keep the little monsters entertained.
For those seeking a thrill, ‘Haunted Horror’ costumed characters will be roaming the park, providing some frightful fun. Please note, these characters may be too scary for very young children.
A wide selection of hot food stalls and fully licensed bars will be on-site to cater for all tastes.
