Helly Hansen Guided Hike: Exploring with Renata Chlumska & North of Tyne MR
Overview
Join us at Kendal Mountain Festival! On Sunday, November 23rd, 2025, at 11:00 BST, join North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team and special guest Renata Chlumská, the world-renowned explorer, mountaineer, and adventurer who has crossed continents on foot, climbed iconic peaks, and inspired countless outdoor enthusiasts. Renata will share her firsthand experiences of extreme environments, offering insight into adventure planning, safety, and the mindset needed for tackling challenging terrain.
Our knowledgeable Mountain Rescue Volunteers will lead a guided hike, sharing essential tips on trail navigation, outdoor safety, and mountain rescue techniques. Along the route, you’ll also have the chance to test the latest Helly Hansen equipment and explore innovative outdoor technologies designed to enhance your adventures.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to the North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team, supporting their vital work.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ THE BELOW BEFORE PURCHASING A TICKET
- The Kendall Fell & Cunswick Scar loop is approximately 8km, it has a moderate degree of difficulty and does include some sections that have a steep incline and may be rocky/unpaved underfoot.
- The hike will be approximately 2 hours long but is subject to change due to external factors such as weather.
- You must be able to transport yourself to and from Kendal Mountain Festival Basecamp in Kendal Town on the date and times listed above, we will not be providing transport.
- We are not qualified to express an opinion that you are fit to safely participate. Please think carefully about your ability to undertake this activity before purchasing a ticket.
- You must agree to all terms and conditions on the disclaimer before registering for a ticket.
- Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for a hike.
- In the unfortunate event that the weather is not safe for the planned activity we may need to cancel.
- Only those officially registered for a ticket will be able to join the hike.
- Helly Hansen will contact you ahead of the event to share any important event updates and to ask some questions in order to personalise your event experience.
The hike will begin and end at Kendal Basecamp Activites Meeting Point.
