The Pistoia Alliance would like to invite you to their HELM Networking Reception at 5:30 pm on Tuesday 9th April at Rosa Mexicano - 155 Seaport Boulevard, Boston - across from the Seaport World Trade Centre and immediately adjacent to the Seaport Hotel.
HELM which stands for “Hierarchical Editing Language for Macromolecules” - along with a supporting software toolkit - was developed by Pfizer researchers to manage the challenges of dealing with large biological molecules. Pfizer is now working with the Pistoia Alliance to ensure these powerful tools are made freely available to the wider life science community
The Pistoia Alliance has launched its HELM project that has the objectives to:
- “Signpost” HELM as the industry standard for the manipulation and exchange of complex biomolecule data,
- Facilitate the release into Open Source of the software tools and notation to support HELM
- Establish the organizational infrastructure to govern the future development of the standard.
This initiative will simplify the management and exchange of information on biopolymers such as oligonucleotides, peptides, proteins and antibody drug conjugates (ADCs).
So, if you would like to find out more about HELM or if you are interested in meeting fellow HELM enthusiasts then please come to this Pistoia Alliance HELM networking reception!
When & Where
We are a global, not-for-profit alliance of life science companies, vendors, publishers, and academic groups that work together to lower barriers to innovation in R&D.
Our projects transform R&D innovation through pre-competitive collaboration. We bring together the key constituents to identify the root causes that lead to R&D inefficiencies. We develop best practices and technology pilots to overcome common obstacles.
Our members collaborate as equals on open projects that generate significant value for the worldwide life sciences community.
