Twice Booker nominated Sarah Hall visits Foyles for the launch of Helm, her wild and resonant new novel, in conversation with actor and writer Louise Brealey.
Helm is the story of a wind which has blasted the subline landscape of the Eden Valley since the dawn of time. But now Dr Selima Sutar, surrounded by measuring instruments in her observation hut, fears human pollution is killing Helm. A rich and horizon-expanding story of a unique life force and of the relationship between nature and people, Helm is the latest work from a virtuoso storyteller.
Sarah Hall is a two-time Man Booker Prize nominee, and the award-winning author of six novels and three short-story collection. Notably, she is the only author to win the BBC National Short Story Award twice. Her previous novels include Burntcoat and The Electric Michelangelo.
Hall will be in conversation with actor, writer and journalist, Louise Brealey.
The discussion will be followed by an audience Q&A and book signing. Your ticket includes a complimentary glass of wine.
