Help create a night time display to launch living artwork Echo Wood.

This winter, we’ll be unveiling a new living artwork at Lower Chew Forest, created in collaboration with artist Luke Jerram.

Echo Wood is an artwork made from 365 living trees that will take a century to fully grow. As our neighbours, we would really like you to be part of its story from the very beginning.

As part of the launch, we’re inviting you to come to help us decorate paper candle bags. Each of these will represent one of the trees in the artwork and they will be laid out to show the artwork design, illuminated, and photographed. They will then be used to create a collaborative artwork in pride of place on the wall of our Lower Chew Forest volunteer hub (one of the barns!).

Drop in at any time between 10 am and 12:30 for a coffee/tea and a muffin, a preview of Echo Wood, to chat about the project more generally and to decorate one of the candle bags. All materials and instructions will be provided. No artistic experience needed, all ages are very welcome!
