About this event

Family & Education • Education

This interactive 2-hour session provides educators with concrete, actionable strategies to embed trauma-informed practices into daily regulation. We’ll explore:

  • Definitions of burn-out, signs and symptoms
  • Impact of stress on brain and body
  • Strategies for self-care and shared care for today and this term
  • A model to improve the culture of the workplace.

Burnout can build overtime leading to physical, emotional and behavioural symptoms. Left alone absenteeism and presenteeism* (i.e., the culture of continuing to work despite being unwell) can impact morale and increase burn-out in the team. It also impacts on the relationships with young people. But small changes can make a big difference.

This training is ideal for teachers, teaching assistants, SEN staff, and anyone working in education who wants to learn some theory and experience a breather in today’s education settings. Develop professional sustainability in the work place.
