Come along and learn more about these wonderful creatures and help build a bat roosting box that will be placed in the trees at Melton Recreation Ground and Burkes Wood.
The boxes will create new roosting sites in the woods. Bats need a range of roosting sites, including summer daytime roosts, winter hibernation ones and breeding sites.
There will be a brief talk on bats so please arrive for 10am.
This is an outdoor event so please dress appropriately for the weather. We will be located near the picnic benches by the car park. It would be helpful if you could bring a hammer.
Melton Parish Council with Suffolk Wildlife Trust are offering this FREE event to Melton residents, having received funding from District Councillor Rachel Smith-Lyte.
