Do you wish that West Dunbartonshire's history, places and people were more visible?
Join us for this free workshop where you can help put West Dunbartonshire on the map by enhancing the information on Wikipedia!
Come have a go, and find out how rewarding it is to improve the information on Wikipedia to make sure more people know about the amazing heritage of the area. It's a practical session where we'll cover the basics and get stuck into some editing on the day!
You don't need any prior experience to take part, just a curiosity about local history and a desire to improve the information that's easily available to the public.
Venue
The workshop will take place at Dumbarton Library, Strathleven Pl, Dumbarton, G82 1BD
The library is a few minutes' walk from Dumbarton Central station and Dumbarton town centre, and there is free parking right next to the library.
The library is wheelchair accessible from the side entrance.
What to bring
If you have a laptop, please feel free to bring that along - otherwise we'll provide everything you need.
Costs
The workshop is absolutely free! We can also cover public transport expenses within West Dunbartonshire, and refreshments will be provided.
Clydesider are grateful to Wikimedia UK and The National Lottery Heritage Fund Scotland for enabling us to run this workshop as part of our community activism heritage project.
