On the 25th May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation will come into force. With Brexit also fast approaching the combination of uncertainty and change is creating an air of confusion; companies are unsure whether the regulation applies to them, or if the UK will even be enacting the EU regulation.
This cloud workshop will quash all these uncertainties. It will initially explore what GDPR means to your company, in a practical sense. Comparing it to the Data Protection Act, and highlighting the differences; before looking at how this new regulation will impact the day to day running of businesses.
Then, we will explore the how Microsoft, who are already acting in compliance with GDPR can assist you in becoming compliant; as by using specific Microsoft applications and features correctly, will be make compliance an inexpensive, clear cut procedure.
The final part of this workshop will look at how to ensure your data, which is saved locally is complying with GDPR. Our engineers will talk through the available safety features such as firewalls and encryption which will ensure all parts of your business are acting in accordance with the EU regulation
