Keynote speakers:

Professor Steve Chinn - Dyscalculia and Dyslexia Expert and Former Head of Shapwick School and Mark College. 'What has worked and what could work better'.

Helen Bradley - High Needs SEN Consultant and Ofsted Inspector. 'SEND - Progress and Pitfalls'

This one day conference focuses on learners who often fail to make progress through SEN needs or other barriers to engagement. The conference will be of value to school and college leaders, SEN Governors and SENCO's, Level 7 Teacher/Assessors and SEN practitioners.

Speakers include:

Professor Rosamund Sutherland, Professor of Education, University of Bristol. 'Improving mathematics outcomes in disadvantaged areas. A case study from East Bristol'.

Dr Mark Adams, Educational and Coaching Psychologist. 'Coaching to improve teacher outcomes'.

Louise Hamilton, Award Leader MA in SpLD, Bath Spa University. 'Differentiation Strategies for Diverse Needs'

Arran Smith, Nessy Learning LTD, 'How assistive technology can benefit all learners'.

Emma Padamadam AMBDA APC, 'How assessment by Level 7 Teacher/Assessors can improve our understanding of learning and success'.

The last session of the day will be a panel discussion involving the speakers and Edd Brown, Operations Director for Quality Improvement, FEA, and chaired by Peter Jarrett of Tutorum Learning and Assessment.

Frequent tea and coffee will be available and a two-course buffet lunch is included in the price.
