By taking part in The Helping Hands Sleep Out 2016 you will be helping us to give homeless and vulnerable adults in our district the chance of a better future.
The location of our Sleep Out is in the grounds of All Saints Church (The Parish Church), South Parade, Leamington Spa.
We are all aware of the homeless issues that surround us daily, but some of us don't really know what to do to help. By taking part in this event, you will be raising vital funds to go towards helping the homeless off our streets to find their potential and become positive contributors to our town.
Theres a chance to meet and network with other like - minded people whilst you create your special dwelling for the night. Participants are required to bring outside sleeping bags, blankets, ground sheet (if possible) and wear warm waterptoof clothing. More information about this will be sent out before the event.
Your registration fee helps to cover the running costs of the event and includes an evening meal, breakfast, hot drinks, entertainment and a Helping Hands woolly hat (you'll definitely be needing this on the night (!). There will also be the chance to hear from the Helping Hands team who do so much to help those less fortunate in our towns.
This fundraising event is in no way trying to replicate all the hardships of rough sleeping, and homelessness, but we are trying to give you the opportunity to find out more about the things been done to resolve it.
This years Annual Sponsored Sleep out looks set to be bigger, better and possibly colder than last year, so get your sleeping bags, gloves and thermals ready in preparation for raising funds for a great cause.
Please note, our sleep out is primarily a business team event but individuals and other teams are welcome to register.
Further information about the event will be sent out prior to the evening.
