Helping our High Streets Bounce Back from Lockdown - Empowering Post Pandemic Success

About this event

The new Roam Local app is pleased to host an insightful panel discussion aimed at local business retailers; hospitality, leisure and cultural venues across the country. The webinar will bring together local business leaders, leading place influencers, Business Improvement Districts and Local Authority experts to explore how collective action can empower businesses to reengage with communities as we emerge from lockdown.

The Panel

Graham Soult

Graham Soult is a high-street champion, digital marketing expert, respected media commentator, High Streets Task Force Expert, and Fellow of the Institute of Place Management (IPM), who founded and runs the retail consultancy

Henry L Gewanter, MA (Cantab), FCIB, FCIPR, MCIM, FIDM, FRSA. Managing Director - Positive Profile Ltd.

Henry L Gewanter is one of the UK’s leading corporate and financial communications consultants. An expert in disaster containment and control, he successfully handled high-profile crisis management projects including the Blue Arrow trials and the Maxwell pension scandal, as well as a number of corporate, financial, regulatory and administrative disasters.  His more recent work includes exposing the MPs’ expenses scandal.

Andy Bartlett MIPM

Roam founder and CEO Andy Bartlett went from being a successful jump jockey for world-class racehorse trainer Alan Swinbank to an award winning serial entrepreneur. First starting a business selling horseshoes to his racing connections, and then developing the multi-award-winning Roam Local app. Roam Local helps businesses market and retain customers, and allows visitors to navigate like a local, wherever they are. During his racing days, Andy saw that there was a real need for single source of information that would help him discover the best local places to eat, drink, visit and shop, wherever his travels took him. Now, with Roam, Andy has created the app that fills the information gap he had highlighted. Andy's vision is to continue to champion and support the independent high-street businesses that underpin local economies, sustain local communities, and bring businesses and consumers together to support each other.

Craig Higgins FCIM

Award-winning marketeer, member of REVO, Revo Purple Apple Judge, Fellow of the CIM, also the Marketing Manager for The Ridings, Wakefield, which is a shopping centre in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England.

(The panel is to be continued..., More information to come).

What is the Roam Local app?

The Roam Local app is a destination guide in the form of a free to use mobile application, that has been designed to connect businesses and consumers allowing our community of users to access local information, in every location, with just a few simple taps - helping them feel like a local wherever they are.

For businesses Roam provides a bespoke means of engagement with existing and new consumers, generating loyalty, repeat custom and renewed revenue - with direct engagement.

Recent business case studies have seen footfall increase by 30% above pre COVID levels in just one month by claiming their venue on the Roam Local app.

We look forward to hosting you all and introducing our exciting panel to discuss how we can empower businesses to lay new foundations as they emerge from lockdown with renewed focus and energy!
