Hemantika is SBDC’s annual festival which is celebrated every autumn. On this 10th year, we intend to present the festival events spreading over 12 months: Nov 2025 – Nov 2026, in different venues across London, Bradford, Barcelona and other parts of the UK.

All SBDC students, for the last 9 years, had the opportunity and privilege of performing at the festival but on the 10thyear we would like to offer this opportunity through auditions and to those, who are beyond SBDC, learning one of the Indian classical styles.

Audition dates: 22/08/25

In August, we will be holding workshop style auditions, open dancers of all dance styles. Dancers will be attending a 70 minute-long class, led by Sujata Banerjee MBE and we will select between 12 - 15 dancers.

Category C1: Resheduled on 3rd September

Category C2: 15 + Open to SBDC and beyond (Min 5+ years of experience)

Time: 7.10 - 8.20 pm

Category C 3: Any SBDC adult students with minimum 2 years’ experience

Time: 8.20 - 9.30 pm

Venue: St Cuthberts Church, 214 Carlton Ave W, Harrow, Wembley HA0 3QY

If chosen, the rehearsals will be held generally on Friday evenings between

Sept – Nov (in Harrow).
