HemiHelp Meet Up & Try It Day

  • For children with hemiplegia aged 0 - 16 to try new activities and everyone to make new friends

  • Activities include trampolining, hydrotherapy pool, Nerf gun party, parachute and team games, sensory walk around the venue, crafts, magic and music

  • Chat with a physiotherapist or occupational therapist – ask all the questions!

  • Meet up with other families - swap stories and make new friends

  • Free lunch, tea and coffee

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to attend the event?

Children with hemiplegia aged from 0 - 16 are welcome to attend the day, with their parents or carers and siblings.

How many tickets do I book?

Just one per family.

Who is responsible for my child at the event?

Parents and carers are responsible for their children at all times

How do I book my child into the activities on the day?

Once you have booked a family ticket, we will be in touch to arrange booking your child into the activity sessions. We will group children by age where possible and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Can siblings attend the day and take part in activities?

Siblings are welcome to attend but will only be able to take part in activities if spare places are left after all children with hemiplegia have been allocated a session. We will know nearer the time if any space is available for siblings.

What should my child wear/bring?

Children should come prepared for the activities they have booked into - this means wearing suitable clothing/bringing swimming kit if required. All personal possessions remain the responsibility of the child and his/her family.

Do I need to bring food?

HemiHelp will provide lunch, plus tea, coffee and water throughout the day. You may wish to bring some snacks.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is parking at the venue. The nearest railway station is Sandwell and Dudley.

What's the refund policy?

Tickets are non-refundable. All ticket revenue will be used to fund future HemiHelp family events.
