Event description

Description

This is a very special edition of On The Pulse, as proceeds will be donated to Dementia UK, in memory of CeCe's late father Peter Melder.

Peter was a man who was the life and soul of the party, and he would heartily approve of this celebration of his life.

Special guests:

THE DRUNKEN MANDEM

Northants grimesters bring the noise! They have spent 2017 supporting quality acts such as The Dub Pistols, Chali 2NA, and Reverend and The Makers. Their tracks have also been supported by several radio stations, including Huw Stephens at Radio 1. Their unique blend of cheeky humour and hip hop/drum n bass vibes is a musical experience you won't forget!

WOLFE SUNDAY

One of the most talked about uprising name in Acoustic Punk right now, Wolfe Sunday brings an energy that is unrivaled by any other acoustic act out there. Touring extensively throughout the UK and Europe, he has also managed to find the time to release his self titled album, available via Beth Shalom Records. He is an act not to be missed...there may be table jumping involved...

WINTER

Winter is an acoustic singer/songwriter, best known for her stunning Barbra Streisand renditions. Tonight she treats us to her own material. Haunting and touching, her performance is spine tingling.

CARL DENHAM

Our favourite stand up comedian joins us once more to provide the laughs. As well as touring the country, he also runs his own established CMP comedy nights at St Jude's Tavern in Ipswich, performing alongside freshly curated acts plucked from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. A semi finalist in So You Think You're Funny in 2016, Carl Denham, we don't think you're funny...we know you are. Witty, observant, this clever clogs will have you laughing on the night and thinking for days after.

GILL WEST

Gill has been performing poetry all over the South East, including the Leigh Folk Festival and Squeezebox. As well as performing poetry, she has written plays that have been performed at Southend Playwriting Festival and Estuary Fringe Festival. Her work has been described as 'poignant comedy'. Her performance is spellbinding and unforgettable.

ADDITIONAL SPECIAL GUESTS

JACK BROWNING will be providing his fabulous art exhibition around the venue, and CCR Transmission's PAUL DUPREE will be spinning some alternative Christmas tracks throughout the evening.
