Hen Hoose Flock Sessions: Music Is Ready To Go! What Next?
Hen Hoose are an award-winning not-for-profit music enterprise based in Glasgow, Scotland that provide opportunities, workshops, events, mentoring and songwriting camps for all women (cis and trans women) or non-binary people.
Come join Hen Hoose for another Flock Session at the Scottish Music Centre Ltd where we'll have a deep-dive-discussion into the next steps of your music release! Our panel of industry experts will discuss what to do once you've recorded your music and it's ready to go out into the world.
Hosted by founder of Hen Hoose Tamara Schlesinger, we will be joined by Rebecca Shearing aka SHEARS (Hen Hoose Member who writes, records, produces & mixes electronic music at home in Leith, Edinburgh. Hailed as a ‘Next Wave’ artist by Clash Magazine), Hen Hoose Member, Emma Pollock (Hen Hoose Member, musician and founding member of The Delgados. She is also one of the founders of the independent record label Chemikal Underground), Michael Lambert (an artist manager representing artists including Idlewild, Fatherson, Housewife, Zoe Graham and Samuel Nicholson. Michael is also the co-founder of music marketing agency Aimless Play and director of Wide Events, which hosts Scotland’s award-winning Music Convention Wide Days in Edinburgh each Spring), and Brian Reynolds (Founder and Director of 432. 432 Presents is an independent promotions company with offices in Glasgow and Newcastle organising concerts, comedy shows and festivals all over the UK and Ireland. We also own The Hug and Pint in Glasgow and co-own The Voodoo Rooms in Edinburgh)
There will be opportunities to ask your own questions and to connect with like-minded individuals after the Q+A.
Teas, coffees and snacks will be provided and all tickets are free.
Please note that this event will close at 20:30pm.
