Description

Henry Royce Institute 'Atoms to Devices' Research Day

The Henry Royce Institute is the UK’s national centre for advanced materials encompassing a wide range of specialist facilities and research themes.

This event will focus on the Institute’s Atoms to Devices theme, which aims to translate new material systems from the atomic scale to operational devices. It includes theory and simulation; the manufacture of powders; thick and thin film deposition; the control of interfacial properties; structural, chemical and electrical characterization; and device fabrication and testing.

The event will include presentations, posters, and opportunities to network with researchers from the Universities of Leeds, Cambridge, Manchester, Imperial College London, and beyond. It will also enable attendees to learn more about the Royce Institute, and the Royce’s Materials For Energy Efficient ICT theme.

If you would like to present a poster, please submit a 100 word abstract to Royce@leeds.ac.uk by 18th April.

Support for a limited amount of travel for PhD students is available. Please email Royce@leeds.ac.uk if you would like to apply for funding, stating your institution in the email.
